Federal Way Public Schools in Washington seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead district HR policy, equity initiatives, and staffing across buildings and departments. The role oversees investigations, negotiations, job descriptions, salary schedules, recruitment, leaves, and compliance with federal and state laws.

This senior leadership position requires strong confidentiality, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with the Chief HR Officer.

Qualifications

• BA degree in related field.
• Minimum of three years successful experience in school district, college, university or other public agency setting.
• Minimum of three years successful experience in Human Resources.

Responsabilités

• Creates a customer service environment with high levels of responsiveness.
• Conducts investigations concerning staff, student, or community concerns and makes recommendations.
• Consults with administrators to ensure contract compliance with union groups.
• Serves as a District lead recruiter for staff recruitment.
• Oversees hiring processes including job descriptions, screening, and background checks.
• Develops policies, procedures, and processes for HR efficiency.
• Coordinates with Business Services on workers' compensation and leaves.
• Supports HR staff in processing leaves and accommodations.
