Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an HR Director/Business Office Manager in Rye, New Hampshire. The role operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with a Manager on Duty rotation and offers a salary in the range of $75,000 to $82,000.

You will report to the Executive Director and collaborate with corporate accounting, HR, and Organizational Development teams to drive people strategies and financial processes.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in a business-related field; 4-year degree preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• 3 years of business office experience with HR and accounting.
• Knowledge of payroll systems, basic GL and Accounts Payable.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Act as initial HR and accounting contact for the community.
• Manage recruitment, ATS updates, candidate screening, offers and onboarding.
• Interpret and communicate policies to employees proactively and on request.
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner.
• Process monthly billing statements for residents and families.
• Process payroll and archive payroll records.
• Analyze variances in departmental payroll vs. budget.
• Gather monthly accruals from department heads.
• Produce proposals and presentation packets.

Job description

Benchmark at Rye is looking for an HR Director/Business Office Manager to join their team.

Monday-Friday schedule with Manager on Duty rotation

Salary: $75-$82,000

As the Director, you will report to the Executive Director and maintain a close relationship with corporate accounting and Human Resources and the Organizational Development teams.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the initial point-of-contact for all HR (Human Resources) and accounting related matters
• Managing the recruitment process in your community, including updates in the ATS, outreach to and screening of candidates, and managing the offer and onboarding process
• Interpreting policies and procedures and communicating them to all employees both proactively and in response to questions
• Processing A/R and A/P timely
• Processing monthly billing statements, answering related question from residents and families in a timely manner
• Processing employee payroll and archiving and discarding payrolls at the end of each cycle
• Analyzing variances in departmental payroll vs. budget
• Gathering monthly accruals from department heads
• Producing proposals and presentation packets

Requirements

• 2-year degree in a Business-related field; 4-year degree from an accredited university in a Business-related field preferred
• Must have excellent organizational skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skills
• Be knowledgeable regarding payroll systems and basic GL and Accounts Payable systems
• 3 years of business office experience with HR and accounting
• Prior Human Resources experience and/or education preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of HRIS system a plus
