Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Lead HR Data & Onboarding Associate to support the HR Data and Onboarding team across Data Blue, Data White, and Onboarding responsibilities. The role involves onboarding, payroll processing in Workday, and developing training materials for university-wide staff.

The position offers a flexible work arrangement combining remote and on-campus work, with opportunities to engage in special university projects and collaborate with leadership.

Qualifications

• Accurately perform onboarding tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Able to learn and use new technologies and prioritize multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist new employees with Form I-9 and onboarding requirements.
• Process HR and payroll forms in Workday.
• Research transactional issues and improve processes.
• Ensure timely processing according to payroll deadlines.
• Draft and update knowledge base articles for internal and external users.
• Create training materials and deliver trainings; coordinate with University units.
• Supervise Part-time staff as needed.
• Collaborate with D&O leadership on special projects and university-wide teams.
