Job summary

SmithGroup, the Ann Arbor office, is seeking a Human Resources Analyst to join our data-driven HR team. You will collect, validate, and analyze HR, payroll, and compensation data, building dashboards and reports with Power BI to deliver actionable insights for workforce planning and salary programs.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in HR analytics, hands-on experience with HRIS (UKG Pro preferred), and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in HR, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
3–5 years in HR analytics, compensation, HR systems, or similar.
Experience with HRIS platforms; UKG Pro preferred.
Hands-on in compensation programs, benchmarking, salary surveys.

Responsibilities

Collect, validate, and analyze HR, payroll, compensation, and workforce data.
Create recurring and ad hoc reports using HRIS tools, Excel, Power BI.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytics tools.
Support compensation programs through market pricing and benchmarking.
Assist with annual merit reviews and compensation cycles, including data prep and reporting.
Audit HR and compensation data for accuracy and reliability.
