Job summary

tms, a global technology, marketing, and sourcing group, seeks a part-time Data Analyst Intern in Chicago to support the Global People Operations team. You’ll develop HR analytics, build reports, and drive data-driven insights across multiple HR systems at a global scale.

You will work with stakeholders to define requirements, transform data into meaningful visuals, and help ensure data governance and integrity while handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• Internship or experience in HR Analytics, Marketing Analytics or Finance/Business Analytics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Be comfortable cleaning, sorting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data
• Be able to translate data requirements into easily understood reports

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop routine and scalable reporting solutions
• Develop HRIS system reporting to ensure data quality & data integrity and to assist in the development and monitoring of system and process performance and service level agreements
• Support ongoing data management and data governance strategies and assist the People Team with data clean-up efforts
• Assist the Global People Operations team on special projects in the areas of process mapping, continuous improvement, and data governance
• Gather, process, and analyze large data sets from various sources to identify trends and insights in the employee life cycle
• Manage and analyze highly sensitive data sets to derive actionable business insights for key stakeholders
