Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a DATA ANALYST to join the Oracle Processing Team (OPT) in Cary, NC. The role focuses on analyzing employment status changes in the Oracle system and supporting Human Resources queries, with a hybrid telework schedule.

The incumbent will enter and verify personnel data, prepare reports for Board of Education, and collaborate with Budget and Compensation to ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Experience in analyzing and researching data based on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes Oracle position data and recommendations for employment and evaluates results to provide solutions.
• Enters personnel information into the Oracle database relating to hires, status changes, salary, licensure, contract information, and more.
• Prepares information for Board of Education reports on new hire and rehire status.
• Collaborates with Budget, Compensation Services to ensure accurate setup and compensation.
• Maintains workflow records of Oracle data and processing.
• Develops knowledge of salary schedules, pay cycles, and employee calendars for accurate data entry.
• Maintains understanding of employee benefits and eligibility as it pertains to contracts.
• Maintains relationships with HR Administrators to transition applicants to employee status in Oracle.
• Communicates employment status changes with Payroll to facilitate accurate processing.
• Ensures monthly payroll cycle deadlines are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
