Job summary

The Salvation Army in Des Moines, IA seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to support employees, managers, and HR operations. You’ll help with onboarding, leave administration, benefits, compliance, and HR records.

You’ll partner with leaders to address employee concerns, manage HR documentation in ADP, coordinate trainings, and contribute to a positive workplace culture across multiple HR disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting HR programs and processes.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Familiarity with payroll, benefits, leaves, and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR partner for employees and managers, maintaining compliant processes.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and HR documentation in ADP.
• Assist with leave administration and benefits enrollment.
• Support payroll and timekeeping processes.
• Coordinate HR trainings and safety compliance initiatives.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR communications.
