Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an HR professional in Low Moor, IA, to interview and onboard new employees, update documents, manage employee schedules, and support training. You will work with the HR Manager and Low Moor Team to drive operational impact and strengthen people processes.

The role requires 4 years of HR or manufacturing admin experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting schedule and travel requirements.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 4 years of relevant experience (HR or manufacturing administrative).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to meet work schedule, travel, or location requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR functions
• Partner with all employees at the plant and those that support the extrusion platform
• Drive workforce planning, staffing and scheduling
• Improve employee engagement, recognition, and safety programs
• Contribute to employee/labor management, operations, and process improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and company standards
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
