Treatment Alternatives for Stronger Communities (TASC) is seeking an HR Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support to the Human Resources team, ensuring smooth HR processes and a positive employee experience.

Based in Illinois, this nonprofit role involves recruitment/onboarding, HR administration, employee relations, and reporting/compliance. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 1–3 years of HR experience; familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and payroll software is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years HR or administrative experience, preferably in nonprofit organizations.
• Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and payroll software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of employment laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & onboarding support, including job postings, applicant tracking, and interview scheduling.
• Maintain employee records and HR databases; ensure compliant documentation.
• Serve as main HR contact for inquiries and assist with HR initiatives and programs.
• Prepare HR reports and assist with audits and policy updates.
