The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is currently seeking a highly skilled HR Coordinator to join our team at our beautiful oceanfront property!

What we ask:

  • Consistently provide professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly service

Schedule: M-F 9 am to 5 pm

Pay Range: $25-$28/hr.

Summary

Performs staffing and employment-related tasks, assists with worker's compensation administration, and supports the Human Resources management team with recruitment, HRIS, compliance, report generation, and recordkeeping. Ensures adherence to Signature Service standards to maintain high service quality and member satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Performs internal and external recruiting, including posting jobs, screening applicants, and verifying information.
  2. Completes onboarding processes, conducts new hire inductions, and maintains documentation in compliance with regulations.
  3. Conducts reference and background checks, and schedules assessments.
  4. Updates and maintains accurate position descriptions.
  5. Assists with new hire training programs and orientations.
  6. Responds to routine workers' compensation inquiries.
  7. Maintains employee files and ensures confidentiality of personnel information.
  8. Interfaces with all levels of staff, providing information and answering inquiries.
  9. Develops industry contacts and stays current with employment laws.
  10. Coordinates payroll and HR data with relevant departments.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Effective staffing and HR systems maintenance contribute to high service levels, satisfied employees, and the organization's reputation as a preferred employer.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with proficiency in HR laws, computer skills, and confidentiality. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Includes sitting, walking, and occasional lifting; work environment is moderate noise, with safety procedures in place.
