Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Ashby Ponds community in Virginia is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR Managers and Director across recruitment, training, employee relations, and special projects.

You will serve as the primary liaison between the community and the corporate HR office, handling benefits, Workday, payroll, and workforce administration while guiding new hires through onboarding and records management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of HR-related experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with an HRIS program, Workday preferred.
• PHR or SHRM (CP) certification desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor benefits plans for health, EAP, tuition reimbursement, and retirement programs.
• Develop and/or implement community-specific employee communication to enhance understanding of benefits programs.
• Participate in recruitment activities (career fairs, college fairs, open houses).
• Serve as primary contact for newly hired employees, including processing new hire paperwork and background checks; ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
• Provide consultative end-user transaction processing guidance in Workday and UKG.
• Coordinate staff development programs, including new employee orientation.
• Assist in responding to employee relations issues in partnership with line managers.
• Enter employment-related data into Workday during the recruitment process and maintain electronic files.
