Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking an HR Contact Center Representative to deliver frontline support on HR, payroll, and benefits topics to current and former employees. You will handle inquiries via phone and email, research issues with internal benefits teams, and maintain detailed case records in the CRM system.

Hybrid role located in Minneapolis, MN on the UMN Twin Cities campus, with standard Monday–Friday hours. Applications from recent grads are encouraged.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Human Resources/Benefits, Health, Retirement, Counseling, or related field; or combination of education and relevant professional experience to total at least 4 years.
• Experience using Microsoft Word/Excel, Google Docs, and HRMS systems.
• Strong commitment to and experience in providing professional customer service to clients.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line client support via telephone, email, and in person.
• Offer guidance on payroll, recruiting solutions, retirement, health, welfare benefits, and other HR topics.
• Explain eligibility, enrollment, and plan provisions to employees.
• Collaborate with benefits teams and vendors to resolve problems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of retirement programs and contribution limits.
• Assist with transitions to Medicare options and status changes.
• Use CRM for case management and meet service levels.
