Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking an HR Consultant to lead employee relations investigations and shape ER strategy in collaboration with HR partners. The role will also involve working with leaders on performance improvement plans, development issues, and attending hearings as needed.

The position requires strong ER experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a preference for Employment Investigation Certification.

• High school diploma with 9 years of related work experience accepted (or equivalent).
• Preferred Employment Investigation Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations and provide strategic direction on ER initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR business partners and leaders to resolve ER cases and review trends.
• Develop and support employee performance improvement plans and development issues.
• Attend employment hearings and conduct trainings as needed.

Provides direction and strategy on Employee Relations (ER) initiatives and investigates individual employee relations cases under occasional guidance. Collaborate with Human Resources business partners and leaders to resolve ER cases while maintaining close coordination with colleagues internal and external to HR. Assists with HR initiatives and programs in a confidential capacity to formulate, determine and effectuate management policies.
