Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an HR Compliance Specialist to support a growing multi-state workforce. You will be a key resource for employee relations, investigations, Form I-9/E-Verify, background screenings, and work authorizations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

You will partner with internal teams to drive compliant processes and identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation for efficiency and scalability across HR programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in HR, employee relations or compliance.
• Working knowledge of Form I-9, E-Verify and background checks.
• Experience handling employee relations investigations.
• Strong understanding of state and federal labor laws.
• Interest or experience using AI and automation to improve HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in HR compliance including employee relations, investigations, I-9/E-Verify, background screenings, and unemployment claims.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve compliance issues per company policies.
• Conduct employee relations investigations, document findings, and escalate high‑risk matters.
• Administer compliance programs and processing requests for verifications.
• Research applicable federal, state and multi-state laws to support expansion and compliance.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and reporting for audits and regulatory needs.
• Respond to inquiries from employees and candidates about HR compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency via AI, automation and workflow enhancements.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compliance, or a related field with significant exposure to HR compliance functions.
• Working knowledge of Form I-9, E-Verify, and employment-based background screening processes.
• Experience handling employee relations matters, investigations, or workplace complaints

The ideal candidate will partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations while helping support expansion into new markets. This person will also identify opportunities to improve processes through AI, automation, and workflow enhancements, making compliance programs more efficient and scalable.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in HR compliance areas including employee relations, investigations, Form I-9/E-Verify, background screening, employment verifications, and unemployment claims.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve compliance-related issues while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment regulations.
• Conduct employee relations investigations, document findings, and elevate complex or high-risk matters when appropriate.
• Administer compliance programs including I-9s, E-Verify, background screenings, and employment verification requests.
• Research and apply federal, state, and multi-state employment laws to support ongoing compliance and business expansion initiatives.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation, and reporting to support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to employee and candidate inquiries related to HR compliance processes and policies.
