Job summary

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP seeks a HR Compliance Manager to support its Human Resources Department in Columbus or Minneapolis. This role oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of the firm’s employment-compliance program across all offices nationwide.

The position monitors federal, state, and local employment requirements, maintains the compliance calendar, and coordinates audits and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to research and synthesize complex regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the HR compliance program and inventory of obligations.
• Maintain a centralized compliance calendar with deadlines and owners.
• Produce compliance dashboards and periodic reports for HR leadership.
• Audit HR compliance areas such as I-9, wage and hour, and policy acknowledgments.
• Escalate issues needing legal analysis to CHRO or counsel.
