Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo is seeking a Human Resources Co-op intern to support day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives. The role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in HR, Business, or related fields who wants hands-on experience in a professional HR environment.

The intern will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, and HR reporting while gaining exposure to HRIS, payroll systems, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience working with supervisors and employees.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Previous internship or office experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment activities including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
• Monthly Audit of Benefit Invoices.
• Bi-weekly point report to Supervisors noting missing warnings.
• File employee files in cabinets and move terminated files to appropriate cabinet.
• Work with Marketing to add HR Content to the café monitors.
• HR Plant Communication Board: Clean-up policies (laminate), post events etc.
• Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Help organize well-being activities, employee engagement and recognition programs.
• Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics.
• Provide administrative support for training and development initiatives.
• Respond to employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
