Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR or related field.
• Healthcare HR experience in a HR department is required.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted HR advisor to leadership on employee and labor relations.
• Lead onsite HR operations, ensuring policy and union contract compliance.
• Act as primary HR partner for union and labor relations, including grievance handling and contract interpretation.
• Support collective bargaining activities and union negotiations.
• Partner with leadership to ensure adherence to CBAs and resolve labor disputes effectively.
• Manage complex employee relations cases in union and non-union environments.
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws, and federal regulations (FLSA, ADA, EEOC).
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on union workforce planning and staffing needs.
• Drive employee engagement and retention in a unionized workforce.
• Support job classification, compensation and organizational design aligned with union guidelines.
• Coach leaders on progressive discipline and labor relations best practices.
• Act as an internal consultant on cross-functional HR and labor-related initiatives.
