Applecart, a leading technology company, is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner for our New York City office. You will partner with managers to develop, influence, and execute HR strategies, acting as a liaison between teams to address leadership development, performance, and employee relations.

In this hybrid role, you will support Client Services, Business Development, and Operations, while collaborating with the People team and General Counsel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in HR; 2+ years direct HRBP experience required.
• Experience in a high-growth startup/scaleup environment.
• Strong communication, judgment, and discretion when handling confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary HR point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on performance management, employee relations, coaching, and policy interpretation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor across the employee lifecycle, helping teams resolve workplace issues and improve performance.
• Partner with managers to connect people initiatives with team goals, supporting organizational changes and scalable growth.
• Use HR metrics and trends to guide daily people practices, solve operational challenges, and back up decisions.
• Work alongside the broader People team to implement programs, launch initiatives, and improve employee experiences.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to accelerate hiring processes.
• Support ad-hoc projects or other HR initiatives

We are hiring a Human Resources Business Partner in our NYC Office.

About The Role

You will be responsible for partnering with managers and leaders to develop, influence, and execute HR strategies and programs. This individual will understand the company and team priorities and act as a liaison between teams while assessing people’s needs in areas such as leadership and career development, performance management, and employee relations.

In this position, you will support groups including Client Services, Business Development, and Operations, while working with internal General Counsel and the People team.

Experiences And Capabilities You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in HR, with 2+ years of direct HRBP experience required
• Experience working in a high-growth startup, scaleup, or similar environment
• Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
• Effective communication and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills
• Experience working with line managers to coach them through performance management considerations
• Experience addressing concerns and resolving workplace conflicts
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong internal working relationships
• Excellent judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters

This is a hybrid role. Work from home on Monday and Friday and in Applecart’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation

Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.

The base salary range for this role is between $120,000 - $140,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed above. The salary range provided is exclusive of discretionary annual cash bonus and equity compensation. The salary range provided for this role is specific to candidates located in the New York City area.
