Job summary

Orgill, Inc. is seeking a dedicated HR Bilingual Translator to bridge communication across our Hurricane distribution center. This role blends live interpretation on the warehouse floor with administrative office work, supporting Spanish-speaking employees.

You will translate HR documents between English and Spanish, assist with onboarding, navigate payroll and time-off inquiries, and help maintain bilingual HR records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish with HR/industrial terminology.
• 1–2+ years translation or HR support in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
• Able to work on an active warehouse floor wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Live Operational Interpretation: provide real-time English/Spanish translation during daily operations, safety briefings, and equipment walkthroughs.
• Onboarding & Training: facilitate new-hire orientations and bilingual onboarding sessions.
• Employee Relations: interpret for sensitive conversations, including evaluations, disciplinary discussions, and leave of absence processes.
• HR Materials: translate and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and internal announcements.
• Safety & Technical Guides: translate equipment certification material and safety signs into clear Spanish; create quizzes for safety signs.

Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated HR Bilingual Translator to bridge communication across our distribution center. In this role, you will divide your time between an active warehouse environment and an administrative office, serving as a vital link between management and team members. You will deliver live interpretation during floor meetings and onboarding sessions, convert technical and HR documents between English and Spanish, and assist employees with daily workplace needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Operational Interpretation: Deliver real-time English/Spanish translation during daily operations, safety briefings, and heavy equipment walk-throughs (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, WMS systems).
• Onboarding & Training: Facilitate new-hire orientations and conduct bilingual screening and onboarding sessions.
• Employee Relations: Interpret for sensitive conversations, including performance evaluations, disciplinary discussions, leave of absence processes, and standard HR investigations.
• HR Materials: Translate and maintain employee handbooks, company policies, and internal announcements.
• Safety & Technical Guides: Work with equipment certification material, safety warnings, and facility signage into clear, localized Spanish. Create quizzes on some safety signs for Spanish speakers.

General HR Support

• Onsite Representative: Serve as a welcoming point of contact in the HR office for Spanish-speaking employees seeking guidance on payroll, timecards, or time-off requests.
• Administrative Assistance: Help maintain accurate bilingual paperwork, HRIS system records, and routine data entry.

What We Are Looking For

• Bilingual Fluency: Absolute written and spoken proficiency in both English and Spanish, including familiarity with HR and industrial/warehouse terminology.
• Relevant Experience: 1–2+ years of translation or HR support experience in a fast-paced industrial, manufacturing, retail, distribution center or office setting. Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with computer systems and productivity software (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365). Maintaining electronic filing systems and ensuring accurate data distribution.
• Environmental Adaptability: Comfortable working on an active warehouse floor around moving industrial equipment while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Interpersonal Discretion: Strong cultural empathy with a proven ability to handle confidential HR matters professionally.
