Job summary

Richmond Behavioral Health Authority seeks an HR Manager, Benefits, Wellness, & Equity to lead the agency’s benefits portfolio, wellness programs, and retirement initiatives, ensuring compliant and high-quality offerings for employees.

You will oversee benefit administration, vendor partnerships, open enrollment, and employee communications, while guiding the Benefits & Wellness team to deliver exceptional support throughout the employment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Possession of a valid Virginia driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor HR team members and conduct performance reviews.
• Lead strategic planning and execution of HR initiatives.
• Design, implement, and manage HR functions including recruitment, benefits, training, and compliance.
• Oversee HR administrative functions such as record-keeping, policy development, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
• Conduct regular audits to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
