Job summary

FOCUS Broadband is seeking a Human Resources Benefits & Leave Administration Specialist to manage benefits programs, open enrollment, and leave administration. The role supports payroll changes, recruiting, wellness, and compliance while maintaining confidential records and partnering with vendors and leaders.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in HR or related field and 5+ years HR experience, including benefits/leave administration; SHRM or related certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of human resources experience, including at least three years of direct benefits and leave administration experience required.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and applicable leave and accommodation requirements, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and workers’ compensation.
• Experience administering comprehensive benefit programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefits.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CEBS, or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports benefits administration including plans, coverage, eligibility and open enrollment activities.
• Coordinates the leave process, documentation, and return-to-work planning.
• Provides confidential HR support to team members, retirees, applicants, managers, and leadership.
• Maintains accurate and confidential HR and payroll records across systems.
• Supports wellness programs and employee engagement activities.
• Prepares reports, tracks data, and supports departmental projects with accuracy.
