Job summary

The King County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Special Duty Assignment/Term-Limited Human Resources Associate to support HR processes and provide excellent service to the public and staff. In this hybrid role, you will learn HR duties, manage Laserfiche documentation, assist with candidate experiences, and help maintain compliance and records while serving the community and Sheriff’s Office colleagues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HR policies, rules, and contracts.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience entering and tracking data.
• Experience using Laserfiche is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Organize and file documentation using Laserfiche.
• Update electronic databases and perform data entry.
• Communicate information to employees and the public; respond to inquiries.
• Assist in determining eligibility for HR programs.
• Process personnel transactions such as scheduling background checks.
• Draft documents and correspondence.
• Maintain office supplies and coordinate facility needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive files.
