Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital is seeking an HR Assistant to process new hire paperwork, background checks, and I-9/E-Verify. You will coordinate drug screens, maintain personnel records, and handle status changes, promotions, and approvals. You will also assist with recognition programs and respond to employee questions.

The role operates in a per diem, day shift capacity with comprehensive benefits and a total rewards package. This position supports Prime Healthcare’s mission in California.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; college degree desired.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• General office or personnel experience is required.
• 1-2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office skills are required.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The HR Assistant processes new hire paperwork, background checks, coordinates drug screens and completes the I9/E-Verify. Will process status changes, term paperwork, promotions, and all other changes and get all appropriate approvals before processing in the HRIS. Keeps personnel records up to date. Assists with hospital recognition programs and assists employees with general Human Resources questions.

• 1-2 Years of Healthcare experience preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.27 to $28.81. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
