Job summary

Serenity Home Healthcare, LLC in Niles, IL seeks an organized HR Assistant to join our growing HR team. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance, and HR systems administration, supporting both administrative and field employees.

You'll work closely with the VP of HR on strategic projects, generate reports from ADP, AxisCare, ATS, and LMS, and maintain data integrity across systems while learning toward an HR Generalist role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems preferred.
• Experience with AxisCare or similar workforce management software is a plus.
• Experience with ATS such as Greenhouse, iCIMS, Lever, Workday Recruiting, SmartRecruiters is strongly preferred.
• Experience with LMS such as Relias, Cornerstone, Docebo, TalentLMS is desired.
• Must be highly computer savvy and able to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Post job openings on recruitment platforms and manage candidate communications.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding sessions.
• Enroll new employees into HR systems (ADP, AxisCare, etc.).
• Maintain confidential personnel files and HR records.
• Assist with HR compliance, reporting, and audits.
• Generate reports from HR systems and analyze data.
• Support VP of HR with strategic HR projects and daily operations.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team and cross-functional initiatives.
