Job summary

The Pennsylvania Game Commission in Harrisburg, PA is hiring a Human Resource Assistant 2 to support the Human Resources Office. This full-time role provides clerical, reporting, program coordination, and customer service across HR functions, helping staff and applicants stay organized.

You will work 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential part-time telework after the probation period. PA residency is required.

Qualifications

• One year as HR Assistant 1 (or equivalent Federal title) as determined by OA.
• One year clerical or related experience and one year paraprofessional HR/equal opportunity work.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: handle calls, visitors, mail, and assist staff and applicants.
• HR Reporting: prepare reports using MS Office and IRIS; gather data.
• Program Coordination: manage supplemental requests, coordinate recognition, onboarding.
• Record Management: maintain files, track inventory, update roster, review transactions.
• Training Assistance: help prepare materials, support trainings, give briefings.
• Purchasing Oversight: monitor inventory, contract services, reconcile invoices.
