Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking an HR Assistant to join our team part-time, 25 hours per week. The HR Assistant will support daily human resources operations, helping ensure a positive experience for our employees while keeping our facility organized, compliant, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment, onboarding, maintaining files, background checks, and coordinating training.

Qualifications

• Previous administrative or Human Resources experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

• Assist with the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
• Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation.
• Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR documentation.
• Assist with background checks, employment verifications, and required paperwork.
• Track employee certifications, licenses, and required training.
• Assist with employee records, attendance, and other HR-related administrative tasks.
• Help communicate important information and updates to employees.
• Provide general administrative support to the Administrator and HR team.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information and records.
