Job description

Note: This role is strictly for candidates within the United States.

The HR Assistant will play a key role in supporting the HR department by handling various administrative and operational tasks. This position is vital for ensuring that HR functions run smoothly and providing a positive experience for both employees and job candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    1. Help with posting job vacancies and managing recruitment platforms.
    2. Organize and schedule interviews for candidates and hiring managers.
    3. Prepare documentation for new hires, including offer letters and onboarding materials.
    4. Conduct initial orientation sessions for new employees and oversee the onboarding process.
  2. Employee Records and Data Management:
    1. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    2. Manage HR information systems and databases.
    3. Ensure all record-keeping meets legal and company standards.
  3. Benefits and Compensation:
    1. Assist employees with questions about benefits, enrollment, and changes.
    2. Support payroll processing and manage compensation-related tasks.
  4. Compliance and Policies:
    1. Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
    2. Help implement and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  5. Employee Relations:
    1. Serve as a contact point for employee HR inquiries and issues.
    2. Support employee engagement initiatives and help organize company events.
  6. Training and Development:
    1. Assist with the coordination of training programs and workshops.
    2. Maintain records of employee training and development activities.
  7. Administrative Support:
    1. Provide administrative assistance to the HR team, including scheduling, reporting, and correspondence.
    2. Support HR-related projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Bachelors degree is preferred.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, especially in HR, is a plus.
  3. Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
  4. Attributes: Attention to detail, confidentiality, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 hours per week
