Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a data professional to build and govern the HR data foundation supporting People Analytics, Data Science, and HR leaders. You will engineer tested, versioned data pipelines in Google BigQuery and manage secure access and documentation for HR and payroll data.

You will also own analytics tooling development, dashboards, and runbooks, educating HR clients on the opportunities of data asset use while coordinating with IT and HR Services to deliver impactful business

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
2+ years of work experience in analytics or data engineering.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to summarize data clearly.
Experience with SQL, BigQuery or cloud data warehousing.
Experience building data pipelines and working with Git-based tooling (Dataform/dbt).
Experience with Python or automation tooling (Power Automate).
Ability to write runbooks and maintain data documentation.
Familiarity with HR/payroll data and governance concepts.

Responsibilities

Analyze HR, payroll and related data to identify trends and root causes.
Design, develop and govern analytical tools and dashboards for HR clients and leaders.
Gather requirements, maintain project plans, and manage analytics initiatives.
Create dashboards, reports, and visual aids to inform business decisions.
Promote the use of analytical tools and data across HR leadership.
