Job summary

The Judicial Council of California is seeking a Human Resources Analyst in the Human Resources office to perform data analysis and risk assessments, producing actionable metrics for the JBWC and stakeholders.

This journey-level role partners with the Senior HR Analyst to interpret workers' compensation claim data, develop recommendations for member courts, and help educate on risk control and training resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional human resources experience.
  • Or Juris doctor with a focus on employment law or master’s degree in human resources, organizational development.
  • Or two (2) years as an Associate HR Analyst or comparable experience in a California public entity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive workers’ compensation risk assessments and exposure analysis for the JBWC and its members.
  • Assist member courts with general workers’ compensation inquiries and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Directly support the JBWC on workplace injury and workers’ compensation claim matters and explore risk control options.
  • Develop program-wide workers’ compensation risk management strategies and cost containment.
  • Evaluate risk mitigation efforts and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
