Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of human resources experience; OR six years in any field; OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience substitutions: 30 semester hours equals one year of experience, max 120 hours substitutes for four years.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary HR contact for the District, processing personnel and payroll actions with accuracy and compliance in LaGov HCM.
• Maintains employee records and verifies employment data including pay, leave accrual, benefits, and organizational assignments; researches discrepancies.
• Supports employee benefits programs, guiding staff through enrollment and retirement options.
• Supports supervisors with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ADA accommodations.
• Assists with recruitment: posting vacancies, responding to inquiries, and providing workforce reports.
