Job summary

Westchester County Human Resources Department in White Plains offers a college internship in the HR Administration Unit for Fall 2026. Candidates must be enrolled in a credit-bearing degree program at SUNY WCC, maintain a 2.5+ GPA, and have completed at least 24 credits.

Qualifications

GPA 2.5 or better and in good standing.
Must have completed 24 hours of earned credits by internship time.
Must be enrolled in a credit-bearing degree program at SUNY WCC.
Ability to work 8 hours a week/120 hours over the semester.
Approval of Curriculum Chair or other Faculty in Major.

Responsibilities

Conduct internet research for training and policy initiatives.
Review training materials and suggest revisions; basic PowerPoint proficiency required.
Assist Recruitment Coordinator with talent management; attend job fairs; review resumes; create materials for hiring managers.
Assemble folders for monthly New Hire Orientation; observe onboarding.
Log pre-employment screening results; file/shred documents; basic Excel skills.
Assist with special projects (recognition, affirmative action plan).
Create employee surveys and register attendees for training using an online survey tool.
Assist HR presenters with logistics at trainings or functions.
