Florida International University is seeking an HPC Specialist to facilitate researchers’ access to IRCC’s computational resources and to write and optimize submission scripts for IRCC solutions. You will train faculty and students, maintain documentation, and coordinate with government agencies as needed.
The role involves coordinating with IRCC, developing HPC workflows, and participating in HPC projects while staying current with new computing technologies and cluster designs.

HPC Specialist functions as a facilitator and serves as a liaison for all researchers on campus. Assists faculty/students to write submission scripts to use IRCC’s computational computing solutions, and to efficiently use the technology to conduct research. Provides training and provides facility documentation for grants, assists in the implementation and development of research cluster, and participates in coordinating plans with other government agencies.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or in a computational science field; OR six (6) years of experience in a related field; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. One (1) year of computational computing experience.
