Job summary

T-Rex Solutions, LLC in Fort Meade, Maryland is looking for a skilled HPC Software Engineer who will design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance software for high-performance computing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HPC architecture and software development based on complex requirements.

Job description

Responsibilities

• The HPC Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software for HPC systems based upon documented requirements. Critical for an HSE is either a very strong math background and/or a very strong computer hardware background. The engineer must understand the intricacies of HPC architecture and the mathematical principles underpinning the software.
• Work individually or as part of a team. Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results. Resolve software problem reports using appropriate development and design methodologies.
• Contribute to system design with hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of OSS and/or COTS/GOTS, and requirements analysis from system level to individual components. Apply configuration management tools and web services implementation knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with 7 years of experience as an HSE; or Master's degree with 5 years; or 9 years of experience as an HSE in similar programs and contracts.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with FSP security clearance.

Salary and Compensation

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000.
