DCCA is seeking a High Performance Computing Systems Engineer 3 to join their team in Maryland. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position

High Performance Computing Systems Engineer 3 (TS/SCI with poly required)

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general systems engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Ph.D. in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Experience in high-performance computing, commercial cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities, guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology; incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations; develop technical documentation.
  • Develop system architecture and design documentation; guide system development and implementation planning through preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, or conflicts; hold ultimate responsibility for technical integrity and deliverables.
  • Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives; provide system engineering services and support HPC System Design & Engineering organization in support of the HPC capabilities program.
  • Support the team’s efforts to develop and maintain architectural direction and methods of HPC systems, including compute, memory, interconnect, network, and storage architectures to meet current and future mission requirements.
  • Support development, test, and integration of commercial and custom HPC computing solutions as needed to support the overall HPC mission.
  • Provide rigorous end‑to‑end systems engineering services throughout the HPC development and acquisition life cycle.
  • Specific activities may include developing program‑level requirements management processes, contributing to or delivering systems engineering documentation, developing risk management processes, proposing and evolving HPC architectural concepts, ensuring consistency with strategic plans and commercial vendor roadmaps, analyzing and documenting alternatives among competing architectures, justifying architectural elements, documenting architecture, specifying and recommending aspects of HPC systems such as processor/accelerator technology, interconnect/network performance, memory capacity, storage hierarchy, HPC‑facing network structure, manufacturability, reliability, availability, serviceability, sustainability, and establishing mission application performance of each architecture concept.

Salary

Proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $150,000 to $185,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
