Job summary

INflow Federal is seeking an Infrastructure & Cluster Engineer to manage the end-to-end administration of a dedicated customer compute cluster, ensuring high availability and security. The role focuses on hardware foundation, performance optimization, and robust operations across Linux, storage, and networking.

You will integrate InfiniBand, OpenShift, and AI workloads using Run:AI and SLURM, while scripting in Bash and Python to automate maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Linux systems administration and HPC infrastructure.
• Experience with bare-metal servers, storage arrays, and InfiniBand networks.
• Proficient with workload managers and AI orchestration tools (Run:AI, SLURM).
• Hands-on with container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Bash and Python for automation of cluster maintenance.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, network, and OS issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the customer compute cluster including Linux admin, hardware monitoring, patching, and upgrades.
• Configure and optimize workload management and AI orchestration; leverage Run:AI for efficient AI/ML workloads.
• Tune cluster performance across hardware, OS, and network levels for maximum compute efficiency.
• Administer storage solutions and high-speed networking; support InfiniBand GPU-to-GPU networks.
• Provision environments, dependencies, and container platforms with OpenShift for seamless deployments.
• Maintain security and compliance with federal standards and accreditation processes.
