Job summary

INflow Federal is seeking an Infrastructure & Cluster Engineer to manage the health and performance of a dedicated customer compute cluster. You will ensure a highly available, secure hardware foundation and oversee end-to-end administration of HPC workloads.

In this role you’ll work on cutting-edge projects with OpenShift, Run:AI, SLURM, and InfiniBand networking, partnering with teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions for federal customers in a collaborative, veteran‑driven culture.

Qualifications

5+ years of Linux systems administration and HPC infrastructure experience.
Experience managing bare-metal servers, storage arrays, and InfiniBand networks.
Proficiency with workload managers and AI orchestration tools (Run:AI, SLURM).
Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Scripting in Bash or Python to automate cluster maintenance.
Strong ability to diagnose hardware, network, and OS issues.

Responsibilities

Cluster Administration: Manage day-to-day operations of the customer compute cluster, incl. Linux admin, hardware monitoring, patching, upgrades.
Resource and Job Management: Configure and optimize workload management using Run:AI to distribute AI/ML workloads.
Infrastructure Optimization: Tune performance at hardware, OS, and network levels for efficiency and throughput.
Storage and Network Management: Administer storage and InfiniBand networking for low latency.
Environment Configuration: Provision environments and container platforms using OpenShift for model deployment.
Security and Compliance: Ensure infrastructure meets federal security standards with access controls and accreditations.
