Job summary

Calance is seeking an Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to plan, coordinate and execute physical deployments in HPC data centers. The role involves pre-deployment planning, rack-and-stack oversight, and meticulous as-built documentation, with collaboration across NVIDIA, OEMs, contractors, facilities, and network teams.

The position requires regular US travel, a focus on detailed diagrams, cabling standards, and strong coordination skills to meet performance and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data center infrastructure deployment or related field.
• Strong understanding of data center design principles including power, cooling and racks.
• Proficient in technical diagrams using Visio/AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Hands-on rack and stack experience and structured cabling know-how.
• Ability to interpret network diagrams and coordinate with vendors and teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50-75%) across US data centers.

Responsibilities

• Create datacenter floor plans and elevation diagrams to optimize space and airflow.
• Oversee rack and stack operations; verify cabling and manage inventory.
• Coordinate with NVIDIA, OEMs, contractors, facilities, and Network Engineers.
• Develop PTP diagrams and cabling specs for complex network topologies.
• Maintain deployment documentation and runbooks; ensure safety and standards.
