Job summary

Advocate Health HPB Surgery Cabarrus is seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused administrator to manage referrals, authorizations, and scheduling within a fast-paced HPB surgery program. You will coordinate with multiple departments and refering practices, ensuring accurate timelines and patient-centered service.

Responsibilities include coordinating financial estimates, assisting patients with insurance coverage, and directing them to appropriate providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer, communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and authorization processes would be helpful, but not necessarily required.

Responsibilities

• Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices and/or departments.
• May coordinate and prepare financial estimates for patients.
• Obtains all authorizations needed.
• Directs patients to providers in their insurance plan.
• Reviews benefits and educates patient on insurance coverage.
• Coordinates and schedules surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments with internal and ancillary providers.
• Reviews schedules and confirms schedules are accurate and time is properly allocated.
