Job summary

Advocate Health, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery team. The role includes inpatient and outpatient patient care, with weekend and holiday coverage as part of the schedule.

You will perform histories, exams, and orders, develop care plans, and educate patients. Eligible candidates must be credentialed with North Carolina licensure and hospital privileges.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current North Carolina NP/PA license and privileging required.
• Credentialed and privileged by Advocate Health and Clinics Medical Staff.
• Prefer NP/PA with Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in inpatient and outpatient HPB Surgery settings.
• Perform history, physicals and order diagnostics with appropriate follow-up.
• Develop and adjust care plans; manage medical and surgical conditions.
• Educate patients and families; document thoroughly in EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in tumor boards when available.
