Senior Helpers in Evanston, IL seeks a compassionate caregiver to provide non-medical home care and companionship. You’ll assist with daily living activities, support clients in hobbies, and help maintain independence in their homes.

We offer paid overtime, mileage reimbursement, health/dental insurance, a 401k plan, PTO, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team.

Qualificações

• Minimum 1 year of professional Home Care experience.
• Hoyer Lift experience required.
• Ability to work in Evanston and the North Side of the city.
• You are passionate about helping others.
• Strong customer service and client communication skills.
• Willingness to contribute to the community.

Responsabilidades

• Have conversations with clients to build relationships.
• Participate in clients’ hobbies and activities.
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Report completed activities and provide updates on clients’ condition to the team.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, personal care, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
