Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Houston seeks an Associate Director to lead the TSMS laboratory for small molecule and oligonucleotide API process troubleshooting and continuous improvement. You will guide a team of scientists and engineers supporting technology transfer, process validation, and manufacturing operations.

The role requires strong cGMP API experience, cross-functional leadership, and strategic planning to build capabilities, set the technical agenda, and advance site objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors orMasters in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biochemicalengineeringor related science field.
• 5+ years of cGMP API manufacturing and/or process development experience in Technical Services or associated disciplines.
• Experience leading laboratory teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of API synthesis and transfer to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and lead safety initiatives.
• Hire, manage and grow a team of laboratory scientists and engineers.
• Ownership of performance and results of the TSMS laboratory.
• Coordinate with TSMS and other functions to advance the technical agenda.
• Plan and schedule lab activities to ensure timely studies.
