Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking Spanish-speaking on-site contract interpreters to support the Houston TX metro area. You will provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish for healthcare, education, and other settings, and may provide remote interpretation when needed.

Contract roles are independent and require professional interpreting experience, confidentiality, and compliance with client requirements.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• At least one year of professional interpreting experience.
• Willingness to travel to onsite assignments.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish on onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security and ethics requirements.
• Adhere to health, immunization and credentialing requirements as applicable.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and participants.
• Stay up-to-date with terminology and subject matter knowledge.
