Job summary

Jobot in Houston, TX is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its probate litigation team. The role requires managing hearings, taking and defending depositions, and drafting pleadings with precision.

Onsite work Monday through Friday with a 1800 billable hour requirement and a competitive salary. The position offers a full benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k) and parental leave. Active TX bar license is required.

Qualifications

• Active TX bar license in good standing.
• Litigation experience.
• Probate experience is highly desirable, although not required!
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Courtroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle hearings independently
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare and respond to written discovery, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefing
• Assist with trial preparation and may serve as second or third chair at trial.
• Opportunity to manage a case from start to finish is available to associates who are ready for it!
