Probate Litigation Paralegal

Our client, a well-established full-service regional law firm, is seeking a Probate Litigation Paralegal to join its Probate Litigation group in Houston. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced paralegal who can carry probate, trust, and estate matters from inception through closure and thrives in a deadline-driven litigation practice.
What You'll Work On:
- Support complex estate planning, probate, guardianship, trust administration, and litigation matters from inception through case closure
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Prepare court filings and exhibits, and manage electronic and traditional filing procedures
- Assist with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, depositions, and post-trial activities
- Prepare probate pleadings, federal estate tax returns, and trust and estate accountings
- Prepare funding calculations and other estate administration documentation
- Manage probate, trust administration, and conservatorship matters
- Maintain accurate case dockets, calendars, and critical deadlines
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience in estate planning, probate, guardianship, trust administration, and litigation matters
- Comprehensive knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, from case management and discovery through trial and post-trial
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to supporting attorneys and clients
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Extensive experience in probate, estate planning, trust administration, and complex litigation preferred
