Job summary

Ultralife Corporation is seeking a Houston Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This role oversees production, warehouse, quality, engineering, supply chain, maintenance, and facilities, championing safety and continuous improvement while delivering top-tier operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• At least 5 years in Plant Manager or senior operations leadership roles.
• Experience leading cross-functional manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of plant operations to meet operational and financial objectives.
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Promote a culture of safety through accountability, training, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure customer expectations for quality and delivery are consistently achieved.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including safety, quality, productivity, inventory, labor efficiency, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and optimize plant performance.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain for material availability and inventory optimization.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions, automation, and process improvements.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions for operational challenges.
• Coach and mentor supervisors and managers; build organizational capability.
• Foster employee engagement through communication, accountability, and development.
