Job summary

SRM Concrete, a leading ready-mix producer, seeks a Plant Manager in Houston, TX. You will lead a plant team, optimize daily operations, and ensure safe, high-quality deliveries. You will collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and sales to exceed customer expectations and drive profitability.

You will oversee staffing, route planning, and performance metrics, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork while supporting growth initiatives and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Inspirational leadership with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain, or plant operations; concrete/construction experience valued.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for transportation and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead with purpose: Inspire, coach, and develop your plant team to achieve operational excellence and deliver outstanding service to every customer.
• Oversee daily plant operations: Manage staff scheduling, load planning, and route optimization to ensure efficient and timely concrete deliveries.
• Champion customer service: Collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and sales teams to exceed customer expectations and resolve issues with urgency.
• Drive performance: Implement and monitor key metrics to assess plant efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Foster a culture of safety: Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company policies, creating a safe work environment.
• Promote teamwork: Conduct regular meetings to review performance, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
• Build relationships: Develop strong connections with customers, suppliers, and SRM team members to support seamless operations.
• Contribute to growth: Participate in strategic planning and budgeting, sharing insights to enhance plant efficiency and profitability.
