Job summary

SRM Concrete in Houston is seeking a Plant Manager to lead our plant team and drive safety, quality, and service across every delivery. You will oversee daily operations, optimize load planning and routes, and ensure on-time concrete for customers.

You’ll coach and develop staff, collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and sales, monitor performance metrics, and participate in budgeting and growth initiatives to improve profitability and community impact.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience guiding plant teams to operational excellence.
• Proven ability to manage staff scheduling, load planning, and route optimization.
• Strong customer service orientation with issue resolution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or plant operations in concrete/construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead with purpose: Inspire, coach, and develop your plant team to achieve operational excellence and deliver outstanding service to every customer.
• Oversee daily plant operations: Manage staff scheduling, load planning, and route optimization to ensure efficient and timely concrete deliveries.
• Champion customer service: Collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and sales teams to exceed customer expectations and resolve issues with urgency and care.
• Drive performance: Implement and monitor key metrics to assess plant efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Foster a culture of safety: Ensure safety regulations and policies are followed, creating a safe work environment.
• Promote teamwork: Conduct regular meetings to review performance and celebrate successes.
• Build relationships: Develop connections with customers, suppliers, and SRM team members to support operations.
• Contribute to growth: Participate in strategic planning and budgeting to enhance plant efficiency and profitability.
