Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project management team on highway and infrastructure projects. You will assist with scheduling, cost control, document management, and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 0–3 years of experience. Proficiency with Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyJob and Bluebeam is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyJob, Bluebeam).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to travel to Houston area sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with scheduling, cost tracking, and quality control.
• Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure safety compliance.
• Support procurement with vendor selection, material requisitions, and delivery tracking.
• Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve issues.
• Attend project meetings and track actions.
• Develop and implement project schedules, identify critical path activities.
• Contribute to closeout documents, as-builts, and operation manuals.
• Support safety programs and enforce site safety protocols.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with cost estimates.
