Job summary
Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC seeks a Manager of the Houston Fabrication Shop to lead shop operations, drive safety, and optimize fabrication and repair of structures, tanks, and oilfield equipment. You will oversee budgeting, QA/QC, and coordination with engineering to ensure accurate drawings and timely deliveries.
The role requires 7+ years in a fabrication environment with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of ISO/API/OSHA/ASQ standards, and a proven ability to manage
Qualifications
- Fabrication and shop management experience in oilfield equipment.
- Strong leadership ability to drive performance and safety.
- Familiarity with ISO, API, OSHA, AWS, ASQ standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead fabrication shop operations and coordinate daily work assignments.
- Develop and implement QA/QC processes to meet quality standards.
- Oversee procurement, supply chain, and budget management.
- Collaborate with Engineering on drawing management and error-correction workflows.
- Promote safety culture and enforce HSE policies.
- Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
