Job summary

Talisman is seeking an accomplished senior leader to oversee Houston operations, drive profitability, and grow the local book of business across environmental services. You will guide staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation while building relationships with key clients and industry partners.

The role requires 15+ years in environmental consulting, strong leadership, and a proven ability to develop strategies that align with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Env Sci, Eng, Geology, Business)
• 15+ years in environmental consulting or related professional services
• Proven leadership of operations across multiple service lines or P&Ls
• Strong technical understanding of environmental service lines (permits, compliance, eng)
• Established book of business strongly preferred
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with autonomous business-building ability
• Strong financial, strategic, and operational acumen

Responsibilities

• Lead Houston operations, oversee office performance, staffing, resource allocation, and day-to-day operations
• Manage and optimize P&L, revenue, budgets, profitability across multiple service lines
• Develop and execute local and regional growth strategies aligned with company goals
• Build and maintain senior-level client relationships to expand accounts and opportunities
• Leverage established book of business and professional network to drive revenue growth
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing environmental professionals and build a strong local team
• Provide technical leadership across permitting, compliance, and engineering services
• Partner with service line and executive leadership to align resources and business development efforts
• Serve as a visible leader in the Houston market and represent the firm with clients and industry groups
